Psychotherapy can be different things for different people. For some it can offer emotional support during a time of stress or a difficult period in life, such as the end of a relationship or a bereavement.
For other people it can be an opportunity to explore the past and how this has impacted them and their present. Others may want to explore feelings and processes they experience, but don't understand or would like to change.
My approach is:
- Integrative – drawing on Transactional Analysis alongside other therapeutic models to meet your needs
- Relational – valuing the therapeutic relationship as central to change
- Collaborative – we work together at your pace, with your goals in mind
- Reflective and practical – supporting insight while also focusing on real-life change
Transactional Analysis helps us explore:
- Patterns in relationships and communication
- How early experiences influence present-day beliefs and behaviours
- Inner conflicts, self-criticism, and emotional regulation
- Autonomy, boundaries, and self-awareness
